Spring is here...

Sunday morning I was getting
ready for the gathering at our
house and looked out the window
to see that this tree bloomed
overnight. It was beautiful.

Surprises are popping up everywhere!

We had the Henderson Family dinner
on Sunday. Grandma Henderson
(on the left) and Great Aunt Arlene
(on the right) joined us for the day.

Walter was ready to smile for the
camera. He is so cute...

Especially when he tilts his head
this way!

Grilling Season!!!

Steve loves it when I take pictures.
Can you hear him saying "UH lets
take a picture grilling, that would
be cool!" And that is exactly what
I did:)

We grilled last night and enjoyed
the beautiful 70 degree weather.
This is "real" cooking for Steve.

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

Tucker and Kasie went to the
beauty shop today and they look
so cute. They wanted to wish you
a Happy St. Patty's Day! I went to
the parade in Kansas City and it
was an experience. I don't think
I will ever go again:)

Happy Birthday Ryan...

This picture wasn't staged...

Ryan, Happy 17th Birthday. I am
not sure how that is possible since
I remember changing your diapers
and you wearing my T-shirts to bed
so many years ago. And then there
were the Troll doll stories for all
those hours... I will always be here
for you. I hope you have an excellent
17th year in life. I love you!

I was exhausted, if you couldn't
tell from this picture... I am so
thankful that we are here and can
be there for the little celebrations
we have.
Just because I have a new camera...

Ryan spent the night this weekend

More flowers! I love this time of
year. Have I already mentioned
that I LOVE this time of year???

This is the tile in our kitchen. I
love how different it is. I am a big
fan of slate and the colors are
awesome. The occasion for this
picture was I cleaned the floor:)
My Mom...

After my horrible day, after my last
post, Mom had a special hand
delivery for me at work. I was in a
team meeting and I was told that
I had someone there to see me- of
course I thought "What have I done
now???" and there was mom with
these beautiful flowers. It truly made
my week! Thanks Mom for always
listening to me and being there for me.
I will be thinking of you tomorrow...

And of course I had to see what
my camera was capable of... I like
what I see so far:)

Mommy, I need a haircut...

Tucker watched mommy play with
her camera tonight. This is the
color setting of sepia. They really
need a haircut soon!

Kasie and her sad little face.
Count it ALL JOY!!!

Today was a day where nothing went
right. That was my attitude until I got
home. When we moved I took alot of
the flowers from the old house. I have
a picture on my phone of the first flower
that bloomed last year and it was dated
03/14/2006. I was determined to get some
flowers in the ground. As I was walking
through the yard looking for a place to dig,
I missed what I have been waiting for.
This picture is what I missed at first.
The sun went down and I called it a day
but as I walked around the house one more
time, it was then that I saw this beautful flower.
I sat down and thought this is a wonderful day!
A FUN Weekend!!!

Brian flew home this last weekend
to celebrate Dad's birthday and
Grandma Smiley's 90th B-day!
Mom was the only one that did
not know that he was coming
home so it was a suprise for her!

Joshua and Uncle Brian smiling
for me!

Aunt Bem and Joshua
getting ready for bed

Ok, so he wasn't exactly heading
to bed. "Oh, you want to ride in
the stroller in the house and ride
on two wheels...no problem"

Little Boy...you are going to look
at me when I take this picture
even if it is the last thing that I do!

One of the many highlights of the
weekend was celebrating Grandma
Smailey's 90th birthday on Sunday.
Sunday was actually dads birthday
but he was a sport...it is not everyday
that your grandma turns 90. I was
so glad to be there and see how proud
she was.

All of my pictures turned out dark
