Topeka High Homecoming...

Drumline Pregame

My boys

This is history in the books- the 7 points
belong to Topeka High!!!

The half time shoe was awesome!!!!
Ryan did a great job!

Post half-time drumline

This boy can move! Way to go Ryan!!

More pictures of the game...

The drumline kept playing and all of a
sudden we realized that we were 3 minutes
into the 3rd quarter- we were obviously not
there for the football part of it:)

This kid was at the game and dad thought
that his hair was really cool. I told dad
that I bet his parents did not think it was
very cool so I had to take a picture of it.

...More from Family Day

Brian gave tours of the auto tech center
It was really impressive!

This is the other side of the auto tech
center- it is really BIG!!!

I swear I did not see any students take
this out of the building for a little ride!

This is the donated car lot- it was neat
to see all of the efforts going into this
program.

Pitt State has a memorial that was really
interesting and neat- we took a tour!

Each state has a flag around this memorial

It was just really neat to see....

All of the names are written on the wall
and it gets gradually bigger as it wraps
around the memorial.

And last is the reflecting pool that is in
the middle of the memorial.
Family Day @ Pitt State...

Brian and Rebecca mini golfing

Jennie and Brian- it was kind of hot once
we got outside

Brian being studley!!!

Jennie concentrating really hard...

Brian is pointing to his hole in one...
right into the water.

And of course he did not tap it out of
the water he went swinging.... The water
was really dirty if you can't tell by the pic

We had a good time...and Rebecca won!!!

Swing away!

Then we moved on to the driving range.
It takes a lot of effort to hit a ball- you
should try it some time. We got two
buckets of balls so we were there for a
while.

Look at his form.....

Swinging away....
Joshua, I mean the Nelson's come to
Kansas!!!!!

Joshua and Aunt Bem smiling really big!
I miss you already!!!!!!

Uncle Stewey and Joshua chilled on the
couch for a few seconds....

I can't think of anything I would not
do for this little angel!

Smiling and playing with the remote at
the same time- this boy is going to be
VERY SMART!!!!

Lisa, I hope you don't mind that I put
this on here before Halloween. This is
the cutest lion I have ever seen! Lisa made
this costume so I give her the costume
making award of the year.

The tail is so funny. Playing with
the animals with Grandpa.

The tail has been found!!!!

Somebody knew that I wanted a picture
of him and did not want to look at me.

Happy Labor Day! I hope that you did not
spend all day laboring:) Friday I made a
to-do list and Steve laughed at me. Needless
to say, I got everything on the list with the
exception of 3 things done. There were
many things not on the list that I did too.
However, only an over achiever would go back
to the list and write all the extra stuff down.
It was the joke of the weekend so I thought that
I would share it with you!

I took this picture a while ago. It was
towards the end of July but I love my
flowers and had to include it. Since I
don't have kids or anything like that I
will dazzle you with my flowers:)

Last weekend my friend Bianca had a
birthday and we had to celebrate her
turning 25 again for the forth year in
a row:) A group of people met at
Charlie Hoopers we and had a fun time.
MEXICO TRIP!!! (A month late)
I was just excited that it all worked out
and we were able to go. We were at the
emergency room hours before we were
to leave with a root canal problem. It
has been fixed and so here are some
pictures that I wanted to share with you!

Here is the resort that we stayed at this
year. It was beautiful!!! We had great
weather- only one day of rain and we
were burnt so it really did not matter.

The buffet overlooked the pool and the
ocean...so relaxing!

These are shells that were made into
lights. They were very pretty and it was
night time when we went shopping in town.
It was cool enough to take a picture of but
I did not bring one home:(

There were plenty of chairs and beds all
over. It was nice to know that even if you
did not get up early, I mean if you did not
make it down until noon you were still able
to get a chair.

Another view of the ocean- it is even
more beautiful then this picture can
begin to show.

This is where we sat almost every day
soaking in the sun. The beach is behind
us and this is looking toward the main
eating area.

The entire resort was covered in plants.
It was very different but very neat. There
was a path similar to this throughout the
entire resort as well.

The beach.....

These were the rooms. They were all
tucked away and felt secluded.

This was the front of the resort. The top
part is a sports bar with flat screen T.V.'s
That is a BIG deal in Mexico.

One of the nights we went into town and
had a lobster dinner. We ate here the
first year that we came to Mexico and they
have cement floors now- it was dirt prior
to Irene...

Everyone has a special talent to make
money. This was one of those...his
money bucket is not in the picture:)
Good thing Steve is a sucker for people
like this.

Every afternoon the men played water
polo- it was so funny because they would
talk about it all day and ask one another
if they were playing or not. Needless to
say Steve did not participate. When they
would come around to the chairs and ask
for colunteers we would pretend we were
sleeping:)

I had to get a picuture of this for Brian.
He thinks it would be so awesome to
ride on the ocean- it is really rough.
We did get to see a wife and husband
take one out and on the way back to drop
her off he dumped her. We laughed about
that for a long while.

This is my favorite time of the day in
Mexico. We go and sit on the chair next
to the ocean and just listen. It is so
relaxing!!!

Steve was so thrilled when I asked some
one to take our picture!

There was an icecream parlor on the
resort so we visited it frequently.

The night before we left there was a full
moon and it was reflecting down on the
water and it was really neat. The picture
did not really turn out but it was so beautiful!
